what is blockchair?

blockchair is a universal blockchain explorer: instead of covering just bitcoin, it indexes bitcoin, ethereum, monero and dozens of other chains in one searchable interface, with an api on top. you can trace transactions, inspect addresses and pull raw chain data without juggling a different explorer per coin.

checking a transaction reveals information to the explorer - which address you hold, roughly when you transacted, sometimes more. querying blockchair through its official tor address severs that link: the lookup happens over the tor network and your ip never reaches the explorer. for anyone verifying a payment without doxxing their wallet activity to a third party, that is the point.

the tracker below keeps watch on the onion endpoint around the clock: our checker records whether it answered, how long queries take and how reliable the mirror has been over the last seven days.
